LONGREED is a one and a half acre
wedge shaped lake with three islands, substantial
marginal reed growth and several extensive lily beds.
As well as visible hotspots there are numerous
underwater features such as silt pockets, clay ridges,
deep holes and mussel beds.
The water is
stocked with carp to over twenty pounds, 90% of which
are Commons. Depths range from one foot at the top of
the channel to seven feet in the old pond. |

ASHREED is slightly smaller than
Longreed, but offers as many if not more features to
fish to. Depths range from two feet in the shallow
reed fringed bays to six feet in the centre channel.
As with Longreed there are substantial lily beds
within cast of every swim.
Ashreed is stocked with carp to ten pounds,
tench to five pounds, roach and rudd to two and a half
pounds, bream to five pounds and gudgeon. |
