We are often asked what is involved in building the dinghies we supply. The following series of photos shows the basic stages during construction.

This particular build was a Pevensey 12  to be used for beach launching so oak fillets were bonded into the keel during construction to allow for keel bands to be fixed from the outside of the boat. The customer wanted a traditional look so an oak gunwale was fitted using  copper nails & roves and oak rubbing pads were attached to the top of the gunwale  to take oar pins rather than rowlocks.
